Saturday Morning Ride

Saturday Morning Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

It was a perfect day for a ride, 80 degree's, low humidity and sunny skies.  Unfortunately my bicycle didn't think so, I hadn't noticed that the chain had started to rust after sitting a week in the garage, with all the rain and humidity. The grinding noise that it was making as I rode, got me to the point that I finally said enough and headed home to take care of it.

Freaking chip seal on Carpenter st, one of my favorite roads to ride. Ruined for at least six months.

Ten Mile River Bike Path Ride

Ten Mile River Bike Path Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

With all the thunder storms popping up in the club ride area, I decided to stay in the local area and skip the club ride. I rode to the Ten Mile River bike path and checked out the newest section that RIDOT just completed. It adds almost a mile to the existing path and brings it almost to the Massachusetts border.

NBW Hope Valley Ride

NBW Hope Valley Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

It was another scorcher today, but didn't seem as humid as last Sundays ride. Lots of great scenery on this ride, even the short loop I did.

This is turf farm territory too.

Friday Night Ride

Friday Night Ride by paulmnbw at Garmin Connect - Details

Today had all the makings of a great ride, low temps(77) and low humidity. Boy was I wrong, three of my favorite roads in the area, just got chip sealed. Why this town applies this coating to a road that was just repaved within the last year,  blows my mind.

Here's one of the roads with the nasty chip seal applied. Now it will take at least six months before it's rideable again.
